Raising with Haya - Teaching Modesty & Boundaries the Prophetic Way

In today’s world, our children are exposed to influences that may challenge their sense of modesty and personal boundaries. This session seeks to empower Muslim parents with the understanding to instil the value of haya (modesty), not just in terms of appearance, but as a holistic concept covering speech, behaviour, and self-awareness.We will explore:

• The Islamic understanding of modesty and why it matters in a child’s development.

• How to introduce and reinforce the concept of personal boundaries at different ages.

• Practical ways to nurture modesty through everyday interactions, media choices, and social relationships.

• Navigating conversations around body awareness, privacy, and respectful behavior with confidence and compassion.
