About the event
Making Ramadan Meaningful is a specially curated program designed for children aged 7 to 12 to embark on a meaningful journey through Ramadan. Across four weekends, participants will delve into the beauty, significance, and blessings of Ramadan through engaging activities, stories, and interactive sessions. They’ll learn about fasting, community, the Quran’s revelation, and Laylatul Qadr, while reflecting on their connection to Allah and their faith. With a focus on practical applications and spiritual growth, this program aims to make Ramadan a transformative experience for every child.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the program, participants will:
Understand the significance of Ramadan, fasting, and its role in nurturing taqwa (God-consciousness).
Appreciate the importance of community and acts of worship like Terawih and Qiyyam.
Develop a love for the Quran and the story of its revelation.
Recognize the value of Laylatul Qadr and its connection to du’a and reflection.
Foster gratitude, self-discipline, and a desire to make the most of this sacred month.
