Refund Policy – Young Muslims (YouM)
Effective Date: September 2026
At Young Muslims (YouM), our programmes are designed as structured, year-round learning journeys. This Refund Policy reflects the programme structure and the arrangements required to provide consistent learning for students.
This Refund Policy applies to Pathway to Quran (PTQ) unless otherwise stated for a specific programme.
By enrolling your child in PTQ, you acknowledge and agree to the refund terms outlined below.
1. Monthly Programme Fees
Pathway to Quran (PTQ) operates as a year-round programme from January to December with a flat monthly fee.
Monthly fees are payable in advance by the 1st of each month and remain payable as long as your child is enrolled.
Fees are:
- - Not pro-rated
- - Payable regardless of attendance as long as the child is enrolled
- - Payable during months with major school holidays, including June and year-end
- - Payable during months with public holidays
- - Payable when lessons are delivered through recordings instead of live classes
2. Missed Classes and Absence
There are no make-up classes or fee reductions for missed sessions due to personal reasons, including vacation, illness, or other activities.
Where possible, learning materials or recordings may be provided to help students catch up.
Parents are encouraged to inform the child’s Class Asatizah when the child is unable to attend.
3. Public Holidays and Scheduled Breaks
PTQ is structured as a continuous year-round programme and includes planned breaks during:
- - Public holidays
- - June school holidays
- - Year-end school holidays
- - The last 10 days of Ramadan
Lessons during these scheduled breaks are not rescheduled, and fees remain unchanged as part of the yearly programme structure.
4. Ramadan Lesson Format
During Ramadan, all regular live online lessons are replaced with pre-recorded lessons and/or special Ramadan activities, prepared by the Asatizah and tailored to each class.
There are no classes during the last 10 days of Ramadan, allowing students and families to focus on ibadah.
Ramadan counts as a full learning month, and monthly fees continue.
Where appropriate, there may be live recap sessions immediately after Ramadan.
5. Withdrawal from PTQ
Parents who wish to withdraw their child from PTQ must provide one month’s written notice.
The final month’s fees remain payable and are non-refundable, even if the child does not attend all or any of the remaining classes during the notice period.
6. Financial Difficulty
If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please contact YouM privately.
Support may be available through the scholarship programme. Any assistance will be considered on a case-by-case basis and handled confidentially.
7. Overdue Fees
Monthly fees are due by the 1st of each month.
Where fees are overdue, YouM may send reminders and contact parents regarding the outstanding amount.
If fees remain overdue for more than two months, YouM may temporarily pause the child’s participation until the outstanding amount is cleared or a payment plan has been agreed.
8. Intensive Classes for New Students
When a new student joins an ongoing PTQ class, the Asatizah may recommend at least two intensive classes initially to help the student catch up.
An intensive class is 15 minutes before or after the regular class and costs $10 per class, payable with the following month’s fees.
Further intensive classes may be recommended.
9. Agreement to This Policy
By enrolling your child in Pathway to Quran (PTQ), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy and the applicable PTQ Policies & FAQ.
This policy applies to both Onsite and Online PTQ unless otherwise stated.
