Terms of Service – Young Muslims (YouM)

Welcome to Young Muslims (YouM). These Terms of Service govern the use of our website, services, and educational programmes, including Pathway to Quran (PTQ).
By enrolling your child in our programmes, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Service and the applicable programme policies.
1. Enrolment and Programme Participation
Young Muslims (YouM) provides educational programmes designed to support children in their Islamic learning journey.
PTQ is generally designed for children aged 7 to 12, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis based on the child’s readiness and background.
By enrolling your child, the parent or legal guardian agrees to the programme structure, applicable policies, class arrangements, and learning expectations.
Class timings, locations, groupings, and other programme details will be communicated through the appropriate official communication channels.
2. Programme Fees
PTQ operates as a year-round programme from January to December with a flat monthly fee.
Monthly fees are payable in advance by the 1st of each month and remain payable while the child is enrolled.
Fees are not pro-rated and remain payable regardless of attendance. Fees also continue during months that include public holidays, June or year-end school holiday breaks, or when lessons are delivered through recordings instead of live classes.

3. Attendance and Absence
Regular attendance is encouraged to help students follow the learning journey and benefit from the programme.
No make-up classes or fee reductions are provided for sessions missed due to personal reasons, including illness, vacations, travel, family commitments, or other activities.
Where available, learning materials or recordings may be provided to help students catch up.
Parents are encouraged to inform the Class Asatizah when their child is unable to attend.
Where attendance remains low over several months, YouM may check in with the parent regarding the child’s support and current class arrangement.
4. Scheduled Breaks and Ramadan
PTQ includes planned breaks as part of its year-round programme structure, including public holidays, June and year-end school holidays, and the last 10 days of Ramadan.
Lessons during these scheduled breaks are not rescheduled, and monthly fees remain unchanged.
During Ramadan, all regular live online lessons are replaced with pre-recorded lessons and/or special Ramadan activities prepared by the Asatizah and tailored to each class.
Ramadan is counted as a full learning month, and monthly fees continue as usual.
Where appropriate, live recap or catch-up sessions may take place after Ramadan.
5. Withdrawal
Parents who wish to withdraw their child from PTQ must provide one month’s written notice.
The final month’s fees remain payable and are non-refundable, even if the child does not attend all or any of the remaining classes during the notice period.

6. Financial Difficulty
If a family is experiencing financial difficulty, parents may contact YouM privately.
Support may be available through the scholarship programme. Any assistance will be considered on a case-by-case basis and handled confidentially.
7. Overdue Fees
Monthly fees are due by the 1st of each month.
Where fees are overdue, YouM may issue reminders and contact parents regarding the outstanding amount.
If fees remain overdue for more than two months, YouM may temporarily pause the child’s participation until the outstanding amount is cleared or a payment plan has been agreed.
8. Student Conduct and Well-being
YouM aims to provide a respectful, positive, and conducive learning environment.
Students are expected to:
- - Arrive or log in on time
- - Demonstrate good adab and respect towards Asatizah and fellow students
- - Participate positively in class
- - Follow reasonable instructions from the Asatizah
Parents are encouraged to support their child’s punctuality, focus, appropriate attire, and positive participation.
For online classes, parents should help ensure that their child has a stable internet connection, a suitable device, a quiet and conducive learning space, and supervision where needed.
If a child is unwell or visibly distressed during class, the Asatizah may contact the parent and ask the child to rest or be excused from the session.
For onsite classes, parents are responsible for dropping off and picking up their child on time.
9. Communication
PTQ communication is primarily conducted through WhatsApp class groups or direct communication with the relevant Class Asatizah.
Parents are responsible for keeping their contact details and active mobile number up to date.
Calendars, class links, policy updates, and other relevant information may also be provided through the YouM website or other official communication channels.
For fees, payment, or other general enquiries, parents may contact YouM through the designated YouM contact channel.
10. Programme Policies
These Terms of Service should be read together with the applicable Pathway to Quran Policies & FAQ and Refund Policy.
Where specific programme policies provide further details about fees, attendance, Ramadan arrangements, withdrawal, or other PTQ matters, those policies will apply to the relevant programme arrangements.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling your child in a Young Muslims (YouM) programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service and the applicable programme policies.
